All by ourselves :(

It's official. Ivan and I are all by ourselves for the next 10 weeks. I know how spoiled we are in Vegas. I kneel before my friends who do it without their families. This is the first time we experience how real families do the juggle. I am actually looking forward to the challenge. We have a great babysitter and awesome cast mates who are willing to babysit Nainoa.

We were lucky by having Aunty Gloria here for the first two weeks then Tutu for the following two weeks. They were both such a huge help to us. Thank you so much! We miss you both a lot.

Stomp Family

Nainoa is loving his new Stomp family. The weekend of his birthday they all came over for ice cream cake. They showered him with presents and love. It was great. I felt like he had a real party. Every time I take him to see the show, he names everyone he sees on stage. If some one in the cast is not in he'll ask where they are. So smart! We are having a great time here. I feel really lucky.

Happy 2nd Birthday in Oz

Today is Nainoa's 2nd birthday (Australia time)!!! We had a great day celebrating at Sea World with Tutu and Uncle Andy. It was a fun filled day full of penguins, sharks, fish, star fish, Elmo and ice cream! Happy Birthday Nainoa. Mommy and Daddy love you so much.

9 got a motorized ATV from the staff at the casino. Ummm yea we need a helmet.

Nainoa loved the Oscar the Grouch train ride.

Down Under

We made it!!! Nainoa did great on the long journey. He slept for most of the 13 hour flight to Australia. I have to say that the iPad 2 was a good purchase for us. It was a great tool and a very expensive distraction. It has been exactly a week since we arrived here in Gold Coast. Nainoa is already on his schedule. It only took him about 4 days to get on his regular sleeping schedule. Auntie gLo is here and she has been watching 9 while we are at work. She done an awesome job. This weekend while gLo was away visiting friends in Melbourne we had to get a babysitter! This is the first time we had to get someone other than family to watch Nainoa. We were really lucky to find Beth. She is an older woman who loves kids. She has loads of energy and knows just how to deal with Nainoa. The first time Eye and I had to leave him he was balling saying, "Goodbye Mommy, goodbye Daddy!" After we closed the door I started to cry! I never usually cry when I leave him at home with the Lolos but for some reason it felt different. He was with someone new and I was leaving him. It all worked out and I am so happy with Beth.

Nainoa is loving the beach, the salt water pool at the hotel, watching rehearsal and the show. I can't wait for him to see both Ivan and I at the same time. I can hear him say, "Hi Mommy!"

I feel really lucky to be here in Australia for the summer....well I guess I should say winter. I love waking up seeing the ocean. Even though it may get a bit colder, there is just something so healing living this close to the water.

Nainoa's birthday is coming up next week and we are trying to get tickets to Sea World. I can't believe he will be 2 years old next Friday.

Nainoa's favorite movie is Monsters Inc.

Catching Up

I can't believe we are leaving for Australia tomorrow. I have been so busy these past couple of weeks getting us ready for our trip. I am nervous and excited. I am sad to leave my parents. Lola can't stop crying. She said she feels "orphaned." I keep reassuring that video chat will make it easier. Wish us luck on the flight!

Here are some of my favorite pictures from the past month...
