MNM

My girls and their boys

I must say I don't know what we did before video chat. I'd much rather video chat than talk on the phone. It really feels like you are right there next to that person. One of my favorite video chatting is with my BFFN Rocky. She lives in L.A. and has the cutest little boy. My other BFF from Vegas is in the shot with her boy. That's Auntie D holding up the computer with her hands. I wish we all lived in the same city. Our boys are going to start a band when they are old enough to talk called MNM. Marley, Nainoa and Makai. Watch out toddlers and tweens....MNM is coming 2011!!!

Time flies

My BFFs son just turned 2 last week. I can't believe how much time just flew by me. He is such an amazing little person. He is so bright, funny, smart, talkative and he LOVES his mommy. I mean what's not to love? Just wanted to share these really cute photos of him.

2 Months

Nainoa is 2 months today. He went to the Dr. and he weighed in at 14 lbs 12 oz! He is above the 95% in weight. He is 23 1/4 inches tall which is about 51% for his length. He is a bit over weight but Dr. said not to worry about it since he is exclusively breast fed. He is definitely staring at objects and people more. Nainoa is also smiling and cooing a lot more too. He is just so adorable! Lately he has been sucking his fingers. Oh and he has been laughing in his sleep! It's the cutest thing. The big news is that we decided to vaccinate. I have decided to do my own modified Dr. Sears version. We only did the DTap today. I was still undecided on wether to do Rotavirus. Doc said if Nainoa wasn't going to go to day care and if I don't change him in public stalls, I probably can skip it. So we did and I feel pretty good about my decision. I tell you sometimes the internet is the devil. I mean I LOVE my Facebook but I hate the conflicting information that is out there in the internet world. Vaccinate vs. Non-Vaccinate. That is definitely the question. I guess I'll just be somewhere in the middle and make an educated decision that makes me feel comfortable.

Nainoa's & Pema sitting in a tree...

The family just got back from our first trip to L.A. It was soooo great to see a lot of our friends. Here is our first installment of photos. My girlfriend and I had our first children very close together. Both unplanned C-section. We have been emailing back and forth every other day with different Mommy questions. It has been great. She has a beautiful daughter named Pema, which is of course Nainoa's L.A. girlfriend. When we were taking these photos Nainoa accidentally punched Pema in the face. It was hilarious!!! Pema was so sleepy, I don't even think she flinched. Wish we caught that on film.

7 Weeks

Today Nainoa is seven weeks! He is such a big baby. I'm thinking he's at least 12 pounds by now, maybe more. He's changing everyday. He's starting hold a gaze longer. Nainoa loves looking at your face. He's starting to coo a lot more. He is totally aware of his surrounds. I can't believe how good he is. (knocking on wood now) He never has a crying fit. He only cries when he's hungry, wet or tired. Other than that, he's just so amazing. Tomorrow we are going on our first trip to LA. The whole family is going, even the dogs! Ivan has a gig with Dan at the downtown Nokia theater on Saturday. I'm really hoping that some of my LA peeps can meet Nainoa. Looking forward to our adventurous weekend!

Daddy

Today was Michael Jackson's memorial at the Staple Center. I thought it was a beautiful program. There were many wonderful things said about Michael. Many times Eye and I cried. I think the most important part of the memorial is when his only daughter Paris spoke. That wat the moment it hit me. Michael Jackson was a daddy. Michael Jackson was HER daddy. I am so thankful to still have my father around. I can't imagine what it must feel like to lose your father at such a young age. My heart really goes out to the children. I was so saddened by Paris's speech. I really felt a pain in my heart. Michael Jackson was many things. But we forget he was her Daddy. I don't know what I'm trying to say, but I do want to say if you are lucky enough to have your father still around, give them a hug and tell them you love them. I love you Daddy.

6 weeks

Today Nainoa is 6 weeks. He's changing everyday. He is definitely more alert. His eyes are more focused when looking at different objects. He's smiling, though I'm still not sure if it's involuntary or voluntary yet. He coos, grunts and tries to express himself a lot more. He went a whole day without pooping. I started to get concerned but after researching on the net and talking to my mommy friends, I found out it's pretty normal. Today he finally let loose a HUGE one. Oh my gosh! I can't believe how much came out of such a small person! Eye and I could not stop laughing. I seriously had tears streaming down my cheek just watching Eye change his poooooooopy diaper. The gag reflex was in full effect. Wow and to think they get bigger!!!!
