Seeing Red

I've been playing around with my camera. Since my favorite color is red, I decided to try out the pop out color feature on my camera. I am so thankful for all the hand me down clothes I have gotten from so many thoughtful mommies, but I tire of the blue onsie, blue hats, blue shorts, blue bibs, blue hats, blue shoes etc. He looks gooooood in RED!

Ergorific!

At 16 lbs and 10 oz. and a strong head, Nainoa has finally graduated to the Ergo!!! I have been taking him on walks at night since it has been getting cooler. He loves it. Eye loves it too. He still prefers to fall asleep in the P-sling when it's time for bed. Now I know why my BFF LOVES her Ergo. Kaiyaiyai is 2 and I can just imagine them moving around Thailand in it. Check out her travel blog about traveling with her son. I can't wait to travel around the world with my boy too!!! The Ergo will definitely be with us wherever we go.

Snake Dance

I put this mobile I got from Ikea above Nainoa's changing table and he LOVES it! If you really look close it's kinda a weird one because it is a snake that has wrapped a panda bear, a monkey and an elephant around itself...squeezing the life out of them? Eye said the mobile was kinda dark, but Nainoa doesn't care. He get's sooo excited and starts moving his legs and arms really, really fast. The video clip doesn't do it justice, but you get the idea. :)

Sling sleeping

Nainoa has been LOVING his P-sling lately. It's the only way I can put him down.
I love this photo. He's looks so peaceful sleeping.

He also has found his thumb and has been soothing himself back to sleep.
I can't tell which photo I like better. What about you?

***Update: I sent in this picture to P-Sling at they used it on their blog! Yay click here to see the post.

3 months!

Nainoa is three months old today! Today he is weighing at 16 lbs. 10 oz. He is the 95 percentile for weight. He is 24 inches long. He has been cooing and laughing a lot more. He has found his thumbs and has been soothing himself to sleep. He's sleeping for about 7 hour so far with one feeding in between. Our pediatrician says that the night feeding should last another month or so and then he'll start sleeping through the night. He got his 3rd shot today, HIB and Prevnar. He definitely CRIED today. He was MAAAAAD! Ugh, I hate to hear him cry like that. I couldn't look again. I am feeling better about our version of the alternative Dr. Sears vaccination schedule. Spacing it out is definitely the way to go for me. Although I would like to be that non-vaccinating parent, I know that traveling is going to a part of our lives and it just makes me feel a better to know he has some vaccinations. Unfortunately Nainoa has caught a little bit of a cold. He has had a snotty nose just in the mornings, but Dr. said that I shouldn't worry and that it should go away within the next few days. He made me feel good saying that when I am fighting off a cold the antibodies that I make are passed through my milk and on to Nainoa. I LOVE that! I love that I am making anti-bodies for my son and I am building up his immune system. BREAST IS BEST!

NYC & London Peeps

The last days of our L.A. vacation were great. We got to see our friends from New York and I saw my good friend from London that I hadn't seen in 11 years! Nainoa was such a trouper. We shlept him around the whole time to meet everyone. Thank goodness he loves being in his car seat!!! It was so nice to see everyone and their kids. I really miss L.A. Ivan and I have been talking about moving back someday. As more of my friends are leaving Las Vegas (sniff sniff..Birdie), the more appealing L.A. has become. Sigh...we'll see...

Dash, Kimmaire and August from NYC
So this is my good friend Ray who I haven't seen in 11 years. He is an amazing man who has raised his 3 gorgeous girls by himself!!! Single daddy with three girls!!! Ladies and gentelmen...Dad of the Century!

Marley & Me: The Buddha Photo Shoot

Marley and Nainoa were sooooo cute together. There were times they would just stare at each other or talk to each other in their special language. Marley was so good with Nainoa. So gentle. Here are my favorite photos of them together.

The Best!

These past two days we spent it with the Bests. It was so nice being with our BFFN again. I miss them so much. I really wish we lived in L.A. especially after hanging out these past two days. It was so nice to be together with our babies. It's such a trip to look back on our lives and see our journey to where we are now. We all met in the show, met our significant others, got engaged in the same year, got married in the same year and had boys in the same year. Now we live 4 hours apart which totally sucks. I felt sad in my heart when we had to say goodbye. I love you Bests, thank you for still being a part of our lives.

12 Week Pics

Nainoa is 12 weeks! My friends said they grow up fast and boy were they right! When I look back at pictures of him 12 weeks ago I can't believe how much he has changed. He is a drooling a lot. I mean A LOT!!! Is it teething? So sooon??? He's smiling and cooing so much. He weighed 15 lbs. 8 oz. two weeks ago, so he's probably closer to 16 now.

I love this last photo. He was definitely OVER the tummy time!!!! HAAHAAAAHAAAAAAAAAAAAA

L.A. Fun with Mommy

Our L.A. trip has been fabulous so far. Sunday we went to my childhood BFF's baby shower. We were born on the same day and we are both have boys this year! It was so great to see some of my old school friends. The shower was held at the house where E grew up. It was a trip to be there after all these years! I remember many of days eating her mom's korean bbq on the counter. YUMM. I took Nainoa with me I dressed him up for the first time. He looked sooo cute in his aloha shirt, but I have to say onesies are much easier.

This was taken at Zuma beach. Zuma beach between 6 & 7 to be exact. It wasn't that hot, which was good for baby. He slept in his sling under the umbrella most of the time. We only stayed for a few hours because Eye and I were COLD.

The next day at the beach was even COLDER! 68 degrees to be exact. You know you live in Vegas when 68 is freezing. HA! Nainoa slept again for most of the day. The sun came out but it was still chilly. I put on his baby leg warmers that we got from Auntie T. They are SOOO cute!
I'm singing this song, "I'm so cute in my baby leg warmers! I'm so cute my baby leg warmers!!" Eye did not like my song nor does he like the leg warmers. :(

Come on aren't they CUUUUTEE??? I love how Nainoa's chubby legs are hanging over the leg warmers!

Tomorrow we are going to go to the Santa Monica farmer's market. How I miss my Cali farmer's markets!! Then we are going to Los Feliz to stay with the Bests! I'm excited to see Rock and Marley tomorrow.

Vacation

We have started our L.A vacation. We spent two great days with our friends who are house sitting the hills. It felt like we were somewhere in Oregon. The house was amazing. Trees were all around the house. It felt so peaceful. I really miss L.A. I miss my friends here. It's so tempting to just say F* it were moving back here. Maybe one day...

My failed attempt to take a photo of us. At least I got Nainoa got in. He's been loving his p-sling lately. We love that!

Tummy Time Funnies

Nainoa has been liking his tummy time more and more. His head is getting much stronger! Yesterday he started to really laugh. It was the best ever!!! My fake laughter made him giggle. It was the sweetest most precious moment. I was so glad Eye and I were both there to witness his infectious laugh. I had tears rolling down my cheek, partly from laughing and partly from the happy joy that comes from watching your first baby genuinely laugh.

Mommy and Me

I had a great weekend. It started off with a great Mommy and Me Yoga class last Friday. I am usually skeptical about these classes because I really didn't enjoy my Pre-Natal Yoga class. But this class was great! My mommy friends Birdie and LisaM came with their two 7 month olds. I actually had a great workout and it inspired me to develop a Mommy & Me Pilates class. I am now in a different community, the Mommy community. Which is awesome and I am loving meeting new moms. It's such a new network of friends. Funny how conversations change. Last year at this time I was talking about what jeans to buy and now I am talking about how Nainoa had an explosive poop because he didn't poop for 2 days!

Check out this cute post about the boys from Wild About Baby

Eye and I spent the rest of the weekend nesting. I wanted to put some shelves up for Nainoa in our bedroom. It turned out pretty cute. When its all said and done, I'll post some pictures. Today I am teaching at a new Pilates place. It's the first time I'll be away from Nainoa for 6 hours! I can't imagine what it will be like when I go back to work full time. To all those full-time working moms...hats of to you!!!
