I took Nainoa on a date last Monday and we saw The Secret World of Arrietty. Now he calls himself Sean, the lead boy character and of course I am Arrietty. I love pretend play.

Raising Cain: Protecting the Inner Lives of Boys
Eye and I watched this great documentary Raising Cain: Protecting the Inner Lives of Boys. I picked it up from our local library. It was really interesting and I highly suggest to my mommy friends who have boys. Someone watch it so I can talk to someone about it!

Valentine Party
My new friend, Sofia's (cute one year old with red balloon) mom, invited me to a Valentine's party at Gymboree. Nainoa LOVED it. He had such a great time. I'm debating on whether to sign us up for a weekly class. $65 dollars a month is a lot to spend for just one 45 min class once a week and open gym times that happen during his nap time. I do love the fact that Nainoa can go off and practice standing on cushy mats, climb on padded stairs and interact with other babies his age. The sharing of toys that have been in other kids mouth kinda freaked me out though. I'm taking a free class this Thursday. If he really likes it I have to seriously think about joining. I don't know...is it worth it? Is it over rated? Is good for him? Hmmmm....but he had so much fun just look at him!

Future Stompers
This past weekend we went to L.A. to visit Eye. Nainoa came down with a cough and we basically stayed in the hotel Friday & Saturday since it was raining. Sunday he felt better so we went to Marley's 1st birthday party. It was so good to see my old Stomp crew with their kids. I loved seeing the Stomp Daddy's jam with their sons. So precious. Happy Birthday Marls!

8 Months!
Nainoa is 8 months old today! Sigh...I say this every month, but it is happening WAY too fast! He's growing up to be such a little dude. Nainoa loves to talk and yell. Right now his favorite word is "dadadadadaddaddad" (of course)
He still isn't the biggest fan of eating. I wouldn't say he's a good eater just yet. He does like rice cereal with breast milk, peas and applesauce. Oh and he likes mangoes too!
He LOVES to stand now. Lolo's new favorite thing to do is count how fast he can stand. His best time is 5 seconds. Today Lolo said he stood up without hanging on for one second!

Not sure how much he weighs yet. I'm thinking he is 22.5 or maybe 23 pounds. We'll see on his 9 month pediatrician visit.
Oh we were all featured in our friend Leigh's blog. Her blog post was about Baby Cuddles.
I've been a bit overwhelmed these past couple of days. I started school on Tuesday. Hopefully in two years I can get my Physical Therapy Assistant degree. I am so thankful for Lola & Lolo's help. With Eye on tour they take care of the boy while I go to school, study, teach Pilates,Barre and blog. I seriously could not do it with out them here. I KNOW how lucky I am. Now if I can fit in sleep somewhere in this equation it will be ALL good!

7 months!
Lolo calls Nainoa "Mochart" (his way of saying Mozart) whenever Nainoa sits in front of his piano. Enjoy my little 7 month old Mochart!!

Girl Power!
So the last two Saturday nights I have spent it with my girls, Jen & Elaine. Last weekend we saw Whip It, a coming of age, woman empowerment movie staring Ellen Paige. Drew Barrymore's directorial debut.
I LOVE Drew. Ever since E.T. I have loved her. I loved her through out her drug problems, throughout her bad movies and good movies. She's a fellow Piscean who's life journey is pretty inspiring. Last night I went to check out the Sin City Roller Girls with my girls and
we had a blast! I fantasized on what my roller name would be and if I would be a Jammer or a Blocker. Needless to say it was a great game and the Notorious VIP's won.
I am girl's girl. I love my girlfriends and I feel inspired and empowered by all the women in my life. Thank you to all my girls out there. I love you all so much and I wish we all lived in the same city. If you haven't seen Whip It go!

Go see the Hangover
Yesterday Eye and I actually went on a date! We left Nainoa with Lola and went to see the Hangover. I was a bit nervous leaving him for so long. I kept thinking about him all the way to the movies, when we were in line, during the preview and a bit when the movie started. But the movie was so HILARIOUS that I relaxed a bit and really got into the movie. Eye's BFF Dan, from The Dan Band, is the wedding singer and he is so funny. You have to go see it!!!
Also Eye is going on a West Coast tour with Dan. Check out the dates here and he is also going to play the Nokia in L.A. on July 11th! Buy tickets here!

Stompin' in Utero @ 38 Weeks
Today I took my mom and Eye to see a foreign film called Sin Nombre. It was great. I like foreign films, especially in Spanish. During the movie I definitely felt a couple of Braxton Hicks contractions. Eye calls them "practice hicks" because they are practice contractions. It didn't hurt, it just felt like period cramps. My stomach got really really tight during the contraction. Sigh...it's definitely coming. I can't believe I'm already 38 weeks. Where did all that time go?
