Catching Up
I can't believe we are leaving for Australia tomorrow. I have been so busy these past couple of weeks getting us ready for our trip. I am nervous and excited. I am sad to leave my parents. Lola can't stop crying. She said she feels "orphaned." I keep reassuring that video chat will make it easier. Wish us luck on the flight!

Halloweeeeen!
We celebrated Halloween this year with the girls this year. We all met at Glo's apartment and headed to the fancy shmancy houses that Dan recommended us to go. 9 dressed up as Buster Conductor from Pandemonium and I dressed up as a Pandemonium performer. Dadda made 9 his own baby squonkaphone and I made him baby shakers. He was sooo excited to show everybody his moves. He was guided by the twins on either side of him. It was so cute. He loves the twinsies and calls them all the time when we are at home in Vegas, "Gilllliii....Dorriiii."
After 9 tried to go into three houses he decided the stroller was the best bet. Can't wait for next year!

Escaping the heat
Since the twinsies are here for the month we decided to escape the heat and take the whole family to Mt. Charleston. It was 30 degrees cooler than Vegas and oh so perfect. We had a great picnic, played frisbees and enjoyed the fresh air. With it being only 45 minutes away from Vegas we should be go there every weekend! Next time we're camping for sure.

Miracles & Inspirations
The day after we got back from Hawaii we drove down to L.A. to see my brother. The progress that he has made is truly amazing. He can walk with a walker and his speech is totally clear. His determination and strength is totally inspirational to me. One the best parts of our weekend besides helping him do his physical therapy was watching him interact with Nainoa.
On Sunday Eye watched the baby while my whole family went to the park.

Seeing Double
My 9 year old twin nieces came for a visit and stayed for almost three weeks. We had such a
great time. It was so cute to watch Nainoa look at them both...like..."Hey.....wait a minute...there are two of you!" I tried to keep the girls creatively busy while they were here so when they weren't in the pool or helping Lola in the kitchen I had them write and illustrate a book for Nainoa. They LOVED the project and were really into it. After they were done we went to UPS and I had each page laminated. Their books came out really cute and I think I'll have the girls create a book every time they come visit. Here are some photos of their week here.
Kea just HAD to get into the photo.
