Nainoa is 11 months today! We had a great day. We started out banging on some pots and pans. He was more interested in walking around with the pan and bowl than playing them. After he got up from a much needed nap we went to his first swim class today at Bubble Swim School. He LOVED the water. Our instructor Dominique was great. We sang songs and practiced kicking our legs, reaching and pulling with our arms, humming, getting out of the pool, and scaling the side. At one point she asked, "Is he a really calm baby or does he just love the water?" We proudly replied, "BOTH!" Apparently most babies cry their first time in the pool. The only time Nainoa fussed is when we were practicing floating on his back. By that time he was done. The 20 minutes went by really fast. I was so happy that Nainoa loved the water. I mean after all his Mommy learned how to swim at 18 months and his parents are both Pisces!

9 9 9noa
Nainoa is 9 months today! I can't believe that 9 month ago today he was almost born at home and nine months before that Eye had that clairvoyant dream! What a trip these 27 months have been. Nainoa is such a wonderful baby. I am so lucky that he is ours. I don't know how else to explain the way I feel about him. I just love him so much! Okay enough lovey dove. New things happening are:
- LOVES to practice standing. He longest standing on his own was 18 seconds.
- He is getting into eating. Fav foods are peas, sweet potatoes, oatios, organic puffs, pears and apples and of course his momma's milk.
- He wakes himself up at night practicing standing up. It seems like every couple of hours he is standing up in his crib, crying. I don't know what to do about it. Is it just another phase that will pass?
- His fav words are "DADADADADADADA" he can say "mmmaaamma" but he says "dadada" much more. He is so much more vocal these days.
- He definitely has separation anxiety. When I come home, say hi and leave the room to go wash my hands he has a FIT!
- Nainoa is down to 2 naps now. He goes to bed around 6:30 pm and wakes up at 6:30 am sometime 5am which really is challenging. He starts off in his co-sleeper then transfers around 11pm when I go to bed.
- Everything goes into his mouth now. EVERYTHING. But he still has no teeth.
- Nainoa is so happy, sociable and just so cute.
Eye comes home tomorrow! Lola and Lolo are going to galavanting since Eye will be home, so Daddy will be spending a lot of time with Naiona while I go to school and teach everywhere. Next week is our pediatrician appointment. I can't wait to see how many pounds he is now. I think he's slimming down now that he is more mobile. Sigh...I can't believe my baby is 9 months! HAPPY 9 months 9noa!!!

8 Months!
Nainoa is 8 months old today! Sigh...I say this every month, but it is happening WAY too fast! He's growing up to be such a little dude. Nainoa loves to talk and yell. Right now his favorite word is "dadadadadaddaddad" (of course)
He still isn't the biggest fan of eating. I wouldn't say he's a good eater just yet. He does like rice cereal with breast milk, peas and applesauce. Oh and he likes mangoes too!
He LOVES to stand now. Lolo's new favorite thing to do is count how fast he can stand. His best time is 5 seconds. Today Lolo said he stood up without hanging on for one second!

Not sure how much he weighs yet. I'm thinking he is 22.5 or maybe 23 pounds. We'll see on his 9 month pediatrician visit.
Oh we were all featured in our friend Leigh's blog. Her blog post was about Baby Cuddles.
I've been a bit overwhelmed these past couple of days. I started school on Tuesday. Hopefully in two years I can get my Physical Therapy Assistant degree. I am so thankful for Lola & Lolo's help. With Eye on tour they take care of the boy while I go to school, study, teach Pilates,Barre and blog. I seriously could not do it with out them here. I KNOW how lucky I am. Now if I can fit in sleep somewhere in this equation it will be ALL good!

Lolo calls Nainoa "Mochart" (his way of saying Mozart) whenever Nainoa sits in front of his piano. Enjoy my little 7 month old Mochart!!

6 months!
Nainoa is 6 months today! It really does go by fast. He is getting cuter and cuter by the day. The more aware and reactive he is to the world the more I fall in love. It is getting harder to leave him. I had two 8 hour days with out him and I was just devastated! Anyways, he is growing up fast. Nainoa is sitting up a lot better now. I can tell his abs and back are getting stronger. He still topples over when sitting up but it's getting less and less. He likes to grab at his feet. He's loves the happy baby pose now. He LOVES to stand. He squirms a lot when getting his diaper change. I bought him a piano like his cousin Marley. (Check out Marley's skills) Nainoa likes to switch the sheet music back and forth more than he likes to play. I can't believe how he's growing into such a little boy! His hair is growing in but he still has a band of baldness around his head. Nainoa LOVES to talk. He does this low grunt that is just hilarious. Oh and we are going to start solids this weekend. We are going to start off with sweet potatoes like his girlfriend Pema.
Here is Nainoa's first monologue that I translated for your enjoyment.

25 Weeks
Nainoa is 25 weeks this week. He's been blowing bubbles and spraying everyone in sight. I am training two days a week to teach Barre Technique so Daddy, Lola and Lolo have been watching Nainoa. The 8 hours are hard but Eye brings the baby at lunch time so that I can feed him and also see him. I miss him so much when I'm away! The video is dark but the audio is awesome.

Actually...it's 23 Weeks
outfit given by Auntie Simmi
So Nainoa is actually 23 weeks this week. I counted it like 5 times and I he is definitely 23 weeks this today. Birdie I'm sure you will double check for me :) We are all going on airplane for the first time tomorrow to visit Mish, Kaiyayai and Eddie. After last weekend I neeeed a vacation. (We spent last weekend cleaning our L.A house that we are renting) This is my test run before our big flight to Hawaii on Christmas day. Mish says just to breast feed on the way up and down and we'll be fine. I can't wait to spend our first Halloween with my BFF and our sons! Nainoa is going to be a turtle and a dalmation since I couldn't decide what costume to get him. This week Nainoa has been sitting up by himself for 3 seconds. He's looking to where sound comes from and I think he knows his name?? I love him more and more every second of the day. I never knew how much you can love one person.

18 Weeks
This week Nainoa has been waking up at 3 or 4 in the morning reciting Shakespeare. He wakes up and starts his monologue and I desperately try and sling him back to sleep. Last night it only took a half an hour, the other night it took Daddy an hour and a half. He's so much more vocal now a days. He loves to grab things. He's also fascinated with lights. Oh and if he's on his back and he wants to practice standing he will definitely let you know. He gets mad and starts screaming, but once he's standing he's all smiles. We've been practicing sitting up, but he just topples over. He can hold it for a bout a second. Still no roll over. I'm not worried though, I know he'll do it one of these days. Tomorrow Eye goes to Aruba for 4 days. We are going to miss him, especially when Nainoa starts talking story at 4 in the morning!

17 Weeks

17 Weeks
Nainoa is 17 weeks today! He's getting so big that the boppy is squeezing his belly. He has definitely found his voice. The sound of his high pitch shrill is pretty funny to me. His eyes squint and he gets so happy after he let's it out. He likes his tummy more and he's starting to dislike being on his back. He wants to see the world!

12 Week Pics
Nainoa is 12 weeks! My friends said they grow up fast and boy were they right! When I look back at pictures of him 12 weeks ago I can't believe how much he has changed. He is a drooling a lot. I mean A LOT!!! Is it teething? So sooon??? He's smiling and cooing so much. He weighed 15 lbs. 8 oz. two weeks ago, so he's probably closer to 16 now.

I love this last photo. He was definitely OVER the tummy time!!!! HAAHAAAAHAAAAAAAAAAAAA

7 Weeks
Today Nainoa is seven weeks! He is such a big baby. I'm thinking he's at least 12 pounds by now, maybe more. He's changing everyday. He's starting hold a gaze longer. Nainoa loves looking at your face. He's starting to coo a lot more. He is totally aware of his surrounds. I can't believe how good he is. (knocking on wood now) He never has a crying fit. He only cries when he's hungry, wet or tired. Other than that, he's just so amazing. Tomorrow we are going on our first trip to LA. The whole family is going, even the dogs! Ivan has a gig with Dan at the downtown Nokia theater on Saturday. I'm really hoping that some of my LA peeps can meet Nainoa. Looking forward to our adventurous weekend!

One Month Old!
Yesterday my Nainoa made one month old! He is getting sooooo big! My parents left for a week and when they came back they even said how much he grew. He's got chubs arms and legs. My little Michelin Man! He's beginning to hold his gaze. He'll stare at you if you talk to him. He loves his Grandpa. When Grandpa talks to him in Tagalog just stares. It is the sweetest thing! He's losing his front top hair. He's starting to look like an old man. :) But a cute old man.
So last night we gave him his first bath. The second we put him in, he peed then pooed all in the tub!!! Eye got so grossed out while I just busted out laughing. I quickly put him in a towel and he pooed more in the towel. It was soooo funny to me!!! After Eye cleaned the tub and put new water, Nainoa enjoyed his first bath. His eyes got really big and he was splashing around. We didn't have enough hands to take a picture but here is an after shot with his hooded towel. He went right to bed after he had some boob. We love that!
